Caution!!! Strong Language!!!

We had just watched the movie Enchanted with Susie when we heard her try to attempt saying "Witch" for the first time.

First Hair Cut... Home Style

What did you do to me, Mom???
Even though Susie's hair had been dangling in her eyes for months, I kept putting off trying to cut her hair. Not only because I am not at all talented with doing hair (Dave doesn't let me even come close to his hair with anything sharp... after a little accident. He now uses a razor-contraption that attaches to our vacuum (called the Flowbee) to cut his hair... for real!) , but also because I felt like by cutting off part of her hair I would be cutting off a part of her childhood... her very baby hairs. It is just crazy how fast she is growing up; yes, she is still very young, but it amazes me how much she's grown. I cut off her baby hairs... next-thing-I-know, she's moving away for college!

Hello, Baby!

Here he/she is. Our first look... exciting! I am about a month further along than I thought (I don't pay good attention to cycles--if ya know what I mean). I am 12 weeks, almost through the first trimester--I can't believe it!
I've asked Susie several times if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl (even switching the order of boy/girl to see if she was only repeating what I say last) and she always says boy! And yesterday I asked her if she is going to have a brother or a sister... and she said brother! So, who knows?... Maybe Susie does!

Get your remote controls ready... and watch Oprah!

Watch Oprah tomorrow... Wednesday, April 23rd. You just might see me or my Mamma-Mia in the audience (though unlikely)! You will at least get to see what we were able to attend. Fun times!!!

"Bocky Happy. Love you, Bocky."

The last time Susie saw Bocky was, in a hospital bed, a day or two before he died. Yesterday she pointed out a picture of him hanging on our wall and said "Bocky sick". I told her "No, Bocky's happy now. He's with Jesus." She smiled and excitedly said "Bocky Happy. Love you, Bocky."
Tears streamed from my eyes. He took such joy in his grandchildren and they did with him. He is missed dearly, but his goodness lives on in Dave. Susie might not remember much about Bocky when she gets older, but she will see glimpses of him through her great daddy.
