i'll miss you too...

While driving to the library yesterday, Lennon said, "Mom, when I'm an adult and am married and move away... I'm going to miss you."

**Melt my heart!**

Wingaersheek Beach

We found a great beach out in Gloucester called, Wingaersheek Beach. The sand was so fine, and there were fun little tide pools with crabs and other small sea creatures.  I could have stayed all day... it was so beautiful.

Susie turns 7

On Susie's actual birthday, we had cake and watched her open and play with her presents.  I let her choose dinner--I was surprised that she chose baked potatoes and green beans... I thought she would have chosen chicken nuggets or something like that!

Susie LOVES to play dress-up and had asked my parents for a wedding dress for her birthday.  She was thrilled when she opened her present from them.  She looks so cute in it--but, I have to say it's a bit weird to see my little girl dressed to "walk down the isle"! ;)

Well, that's as good as good could be!

I took the kids to the Discovery Kid's Museum yesterday.  When returning to our car, I asked Lennon, "Did you have a good time at the Museum?"  He responded, "As good as PUMPKIN PIE!!"

:) I just love that boy...

Wreck-it Susie! {Susie's 7th Birthday party}

Susie turned 7! How did that happen??! Those 7 years zoomed by! We are so incredibly lucky to have Susie girl in our family.  She is amazing--so smart, creative, sweet, funny, and full of good. Love her to the moon and back--times infinity!
Susie really wanted to have a "Wreck-it Ralph" themed birthday party with friends... so that's what I tried for!  Susie even dressed in matching clothes to her Vanellope Von-Schweetz doll.

Party decorations-- these streamers and balloons took me forever!  When I was only half way done with them... I sat on the ground and said out loud, to myself, "I am crazy." But, I had to finish... I had gotten that far!

Sugar-Rush Race Carts:
In the movie, Wretch-it Ralph, Vanellope is from a video game called Sugar-Rush... which is a candyland type place, where they race go-carts made of candy.  So, for Susie's party we made our own candy go-carts.

Susie with her finished candy car.

Double-Stripe Musical Chairs:
We played musical chairs, with a Wreck-it Ralph twist. On each chair was a picture of a candy cane, all had normal stripes except one.  One had Double stripes.  In the movie, if you landed on a double striped candy cane you would fall into a green gooey pond.  So, in our musical chairs... if you landed on the double stripe candy cane you had to go sit in the green gooey pond (really just a green blanket).

The green, gooey pond!

I'm Gonna Wreck-it!
I spray painted some boxes to look like (somewhat look like, at least) bricks. Wreck-it Ralph breaks down a brick building with his colossal hands, while Fix-it Felix Jr. repair's them with his magic hammer. The kids took turns playing Ralph by wearing big (Hulk) hands, then saying, "I'm gonna Wreck-it!" After knocking down the homemade bricks (with plenty of energy, I might add!), they would pick up our toy hammer and say, "I can fix it!" Pretending to be Fix-it Felix Jr. as they repaired the bricks back into their place.

Lennon saying, "I can fix it!"

Pin the Medal on Ralph:
My amazing friend, Michelle, made this super cute Pin the Medal on Ralph game! I felt like I should frame it or something--it turned out so good!
In the movie, Ralph tries to win a medal in hopes that in doing so he would be accepted from the character's in his own video game.

Make a Wish...

In Wreck-it Ralph, Vanellope makes Ralph a heart-shaped sugar cookie, that she frosted with the words, "You're my Hero."  Susie is one of my Hero's in so many ways.  She brings me the deepest JOY one could ever know.  Love you, Sus...
